Soon my adventures to Croatia will begin in October. I was lucky enough to learn about the company Traverse Journeys. Skimming over what they were about really reached to my heart. The company picks destinations that tourism can thrive by giving back to the local community. Traveling with Traverse Journeys would have a well-planned itinerary with fun activities, knowledge of the area, and time to take in the beautiful views. This benefits the locals and tourists. They help the locals in the countries that they have their tours in. Every trip creates 5% of sales that become donations that will go towards the community that are involved with the tour. What this money does, is help with the conservation, healthcare, education, and other things that are needed within the communities.

The places that are chosen are known for their beauty. The tourists get to taste local traditional foods, plus they get to learn more about the culture there. Many of the places that the tourists will stay do eco-friendly practices. Traverse Journeys makes sure the local vendors they work with will help out their local community with conservation.
Excitement seeped throughout my body. I would have 8 days venturing in Croatia. We will start in Zagreb and end in Dubrovnik. Accommodation and transportation would all be included in the price. When I travel, I have always loved learning more about cultures and their history. As we travel in Croatia, we will be given free range time to explore our own interests in the area. Plus, we’re going to go to the famous Plitvice lakes, where we will have an easy hike. We will even get the option to hike more in the amazing National Park.
On this tour Traverse Journeys has partnered with GreenSail. They’re an organization about ocean cleanup and sustainable tourism. You can even donate to their cause!
I’m excited yet nervous since this is not my usual way of travel. My way entails a backpack, hostels, and the cheapest way to get by. But going on this trip will be exciting and open my eyes to a new side of travel! Plus, I will be giving back to communities and do it in a more friendly manner than other tourism businesses.
As I looked over the itinerary, I became giddy. At first, I was a little worried that there wouldn’t be so much that I could hike. But as I read, there were quite a few hikes I will get to do! Yay! I stared at the nature in awe and imagined seeing it in person. It will be a great trip! I will get to enjoy nature and learn about their culture. It can’t get better than that! Traveling with Traverse Journeys was a great idea!
If you’re planning a trip and want to help out communities, I highly suggest going with Traverse Journeys. You can even get a $100 discount if you use my code!
